Future releases
We've released the following notification types through the Belfry portal for customers on our plan that includes live operations:
For the back office:
Missed Clock-In (sent 5 mins after missed clock-in detected, then every 5 mins thereafter up to 3 times)
Abandoned Posts (sent if officer leaves the site geofence - if notifications are toggled on, then every 5 mins thereafter up to 3 times)
For officers:
Upcoming Shift (2 hours before, at scheduled start time, and if late to clock-in)
Clock-Out Notice (at scheduled end time, and if late to clock-out)
Notifications will be sent in 3 different ways:
Through the Bell Icon in the top-right corner of the admin portal
Through Browser notifications
Through the Belfry mobile app (if the user is logged in)
The notifications will depend on the roles assigned in Belfry to the given employee.
**Admins / Managers :**
If regions are configured...
if the admin/manager is not assigned as a "Site Lead" for any sites... they will receive notifications for all sites within the region they've been assigned.
If the admin/manager is assigned as a "Site Lead" for one or multiple sites... they will only receive notifications relevant to those sites
If regions are not configured...
if the admin/manager is not assigned as a "Site Lead" for any sites... they will receive notifications for all sites
If the admin/manager is assigned as a "Site Lead" for one or multiple sites... they will only receive notifications relevant to those sites
**Supervisors:**
If the supervisor is assigned as a "Site Lead" for one or multiple sites... they will only receive notifications relevant to that site
You can modify the sites that a profile is assigned as a Lead to in the Employee page:
As an admin, you can change your notification preferences in the Belfry web app using the Bell icon in the upper-right corner. Click the gear icon to get to settings, then you can turn on or off different types of notifications for different channels.
Note: the Current Shift notification type refers to shifts assigned to you as an officer.
In the future, we will release even more notification types to both the back office and to officers. These will include: reports to review, certifications / licenses about to expire, and others. Let us know if you have other thoughts on how we can help streamline your processes with this new functionality.
